I didn't know her language
She didn't know mine
Still we talked,
From breakfast, till the dine.
I didn't know her past
She didn't know mine.
But when we opened our hearts,
Our voices seem to whine.
I didn't know about her heartbreak
She didn't know about mine.
God really showed how
Two broken hearts can perfectly combine
I prayed for her smile
She prayed for mine.
She felt peace, when on my shoulder
Her head inclined.
I took interest in her hobby
She took interest in mine.
For me, her smile was
Like the winter sunshine.
My friends teased me with her name
Her friends teased her with mine.
A little blush, a little smile
Was it some kind of sign?
I started to like her company
She started liking mine.
Far away from lust,
Her face was as divine as shrine.
I craved for her advice in trouble
She craved for mine.
The meaning of love,
We were about to re-define.
I was unaware of her love for me
She was unaware of mine.
& each time people ask me about her
I always used to decline.
I waited for her 3 magic words,
She waited for mine.
Time passed & our love
Grew old like a bottle of wine.
But on my birthday,
I looked into her eyes
She looked into mine.
I asked “Who am I to you?”
She said “I am all thine.”
Really,
I owe her that time.
I owe her that time.
